Hello, I’m Raquel McCauley, MSN, RN

I am a United States Air Force Veteran who served 4 years active duty as a medical technician. Following my honorable discharge, I returned home to Chicago Illinois to pursue my nursing degree. During this time, I continued working as a medical technician in an OB/GYN clinic. After completing my nursing degree, I worked at a Level III Labor and Delivery Unit in Chicago, for me it was a continuity of care from clinic to beside. During this time, I pursued my master’s degree in nursing education because I always knew I wanted to teach.

After successful completion I eagerly took a position as a nurse educator in Sterile Processing. This is where Pristine Processing was born: from a passion to nurture future SPS techs to become knowledgeable, enthusiastic, engaged, professionals. The role as a Sterile Processing Educator has allowed me to share my gained expertise and knowledge in an open, tangible, thoughtful, and empathetic manner; to be the teacher and student simultaneously where growth happens organically.

My mission for Pristine Processing is for Sterile Processing technicians, new and experienced alike, to transform their current ideas of who they are to who they can become: talented, dedicated, and skilled professionals who built their careers from a solid foundation of education and knowledge worthy of recognition and honor.
